treatment / Shaving
What’s involved?
Using a razor to remove hairs where they leave the pore.
Lather the area with soap (does the trick) or shaving gel (smoother finish), then run the razor over the area. Wash the area with warm water.
Pros:
- It’s cheap - you can buy a razor from the supermarket and just use your normal shower soap or gel.
- It’s easy. Just be careful not to cut yourself!
- You can do it yourself.
- It’s quick - because you don’t need to go into a salon.
Cons:
- Probably the least long lasting of the options - with some people it lasts for less than a day!
- A rash can develop.
- Often results in ingrown hairs.
Pain rating:
Low - this doesn’t hurt a bit.
